I then simply copied it to my desktop, uninstalled the VMware Pro trail version, and then installed the VMplayer again. In the installation folder (program files … WMware Workstation) the vmnetcfe.exe was thankfully there. I installed the trail version of VM Vorkstation Pro – version 12 (downloaded from their site as well as the player).
